Turkey has an excellent coach service and you will find that you can travel virtually anywhere for relatively little money and in comfort. Head down to the 'Otogar' (Bus Station) and you'll be engulfed in great activity as agents of various coach companies approach and escort you to a bus bound for your destination. You'll be faced with the choice of different departure times, places and prices. On an overnight journey a breakfast voucher maybe included in your ticket price. And how ever long a journey , it can be a 'refreshing' one - buses are now non-smoking and lemon cologne and water are offered free!
In AKYAKA : For those of you who wish to travel further afield - Izmir, Istanbul, Dalyan (change to dolmus at Ortaca), Fethiye or Bodrum - you may obtain a ticket from either Kamil Koc or Pamukkale both offices situated at the top of the village near the small roundabout. One would have to board the coach at the top road as there aren't any stops in Akyaka village. With a high standard of service and excellent value they're a great way to travel. However, a tip for long distant tourers - Turkey is vast and it's a 10 hour overnight trek to Istanbul.
